The Duffy family at Holm Oak Vineyards are very excitied to be launching our new website. It has been some time in the making, but we are very happy with the final result.
You are now able to easily access and purchase our extensive range of Holm Oak wines, our very popular Pig & d' Pooch Moscato and Hog & d' Hound Muscat, and our new range of Small Players Cider. Our wine club members are also now able to login and receive their special discounted rates (check out the wine club page if you are not already a member).
As well as being able to purchase our wines, you are able to access detailed information on all of our products and keep up to date with everything that is happening at Holm Oak.
We would really love your feedback on our site, and if there is anything you would like to see added please let us know.
Both the 2009 and 2010 Pinot have been reviewed in the past two editions of the Gourmet Traveller WINE magazine. In the October/November edition our 2010 Pinot Noir was rated in the top 25 Pinot's in Tasmania by an expert tasting panel, a great accolade considering there are over 150 Pinot Noir producers in Tasmania. Sophie Otten described our Pinot as having "good even balance, and full soft flavours, with sufficient fleshiness, cranberry flavour and lift"
In the latest edition Ken Gargett has includuded Holm Oak in his great wine drives and featured our 2009 Pinot in his wines for the boot. Ken described our cellar door as "an exciting and often surprising place to visit" and wrote that the 2009 Pinot Noir "is a bright and and flavoursome PInot Noir with cherry pit notes. It has supple texture with pleasing savoury characters. There is good acidity, fine tannins and lots of length." Unfortunately, we have run out of the 2009 Pinot Noir; however, we have kept some for our wine club members. Check out our wine club page to see how you can get your hands on some.
